The Harley House
BACKGROUND: Katie and Beckah (of Ghost Quest) were actually invited to this investigation by Shannon Sylvia (formerly of Ghost Hunters International) the owner's daughter Gayle requested it not out of fear but because there had been some strange goings on. Shannon needed a psychic medium for the investigation and requested Beckah's help.
Investigators : Altogether there were ten people, Shannon and her husband Jeff, Rob, Linda and Mike (freelance investigators) and Jack, Sharon and Ellen from Spirit Seekers of New England (a Massachusetts based paranormal team)plus, of course, Katie and Beckah.
The Investigation : On Sept. 22nd we arrived at the Harley House, Shannon had already started giving a historical tour, Beckah remained outside of the house until 7:23p.m. when the tour was concluded.
Things inside the Harley house were a little chaotic, but organized. They were setting up DVR and Quad Cams, Shannon was getting everyone organized. See the video for the walkthrough. The client has since requested to be moved to another unit in her townhouse and is taking her new EMF detector with her.

So, all I can say is "WOW".
Jeff and I have been dining at this charming, beautiful, antiquated Bed and Breakfast for years as they serve some of the best food my taste buds have ever experienced. It is an old egg farm from 1890 converted to an authentic farmhouse styled establishment that caters to diners and people celebrating events and locals who just want a damn good brunch on Sundays. I have been hearing from the grapevine stories of hauntings of the Harley House, in Lunenburg, MA, and we finally hosted our very first investigation last night at the house. After setting up our DVR equipment, we were joined by 7 investigators from the Boston, NH and CT areas. Demonologist and ghost hunter Katie Boyd and psychic medium Beckah were also on hand to give us insight on activity. After we all received a great tour on the history of the location and personal experiences with hauntings, we allowed the medium to enter the building for the first time. Right off the bat she sensed many spirits dying to talk to us as it had never been investigated before. A tour with Becka resulted in bewildered looks from all of us and some very emotional moments as the owner of the establishment heard over and over as Becka validated many of the spirits, their names, how they passed, their relation to the owner and other details about the business. It was absolutely amazing. We began right away with evp work. We learned that when Beckah calls the spirits to one room, the other group had virtually no activity or EMF spikes, no knocks on the walls or parlor tricks as requested. When groups switched and I hogged the medium to myself, the other group as well was left empty handed. The spirits were very happy to talk as much as they could to someone who could hear them and didn't really have an interest in hanging out with people holding tape recorders.
We conducted some experiments, validated more information with the owner and the medium, documented everything and were told by one ghost, who had personal messages for me and even gave me 'homework' to do, promised we would have amazing evidence and evp's on our recorders. I'm excited to delve into the evp work this week! We went until the wee hours of the morning and at 10 am had an absolutely amazing breakfast served to us by the owner. The coffee was fresh, the orange juice flowing and fresh corn fritters and maple syrup began decorating the table in front of us. Our group worked well together as a team, I can generally say this has been one of the best events i've been part of in a long time and it was just memorable and all around fun. Thank you to everyone who participated, you better believe we're going back there and Thank you to Beckah Boyd who's talents would not have gotten us as far if we did not have her presence.
